When will things get easier? Why does this have to be so hard? Why am I on God's strongest soldier list again? I've been asking myself these questions a lot more lately. It seems like the closer I feel I am getting to God and walking in purpose, the more obstacles I am encountering. If you feel the same way, I am right here with you.

In life, we set goals and with intention, set out to pursue what may seem impossible. What I've found is that, goals are achievable, but at what cost? Recently, I have surrendered everything I thought I knew; What I thought I wanted my career to be, what my family dynamic would look like, and where I thought I'd live. The truth is, it is lonely in these spaces. We surrender to God because along with the surrender, so much space is cleared. The space is quiet and loud at the same time. Doubts begin to creep in, and troubles aren't far behind. Whether you experience financial troubles, woes of losing family and friends, and upheavals at home.
Shouldn't things get easier? Shouldn't things begin to fall into place? Well sis, I am here to tell you, yes, but not before they get worse. You see, one thing that I've found is that as soon as you begin the walk in purpose, things begin to fall apart. Sometimes all at once, and most times little by little. What if I told you it was all by design. That God is working in the midst of the chaos that is your life. That when suddenly you feel the people that were once in your corner disappear, or begin to treat you differently? Or when your children begin to act out and enter into the troubled teen category, God is in the midst.
God warns us of the fight between good and evil. In Jeremiah 9: 4-6, we are warned that we live in the midst of deceit. that our brothers (figurative) will supplant and that our neighbor will walk with slander. There is so much to unpack here but all in all, we are to expect hardships and betrayal. From the beginning of time, it was so. What a world we live in right? However, we are also instructed to
James 1:2-4 NKJV. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
That is what is amazing about our Father, though the troubles come, he shows us how and why we must endure them. These trials are not meant to take us out, thought they may feel like it, but they are here to strengthen us and produce fruit it we just hold tight a little longer. I want to encourage you today to hold on to your faith, the little bit of hope you have is what will see you through. God is there in the silence cheering for you because he knows you are stronger than you think.
Romans 8:28 "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose
I pray for the strength of whomever reads this post. I pray that God make his presence evident today and that you encounter peace and comfort to know the other side is near. Until next time, be blessed!
